Cancer Center
Welcome! You give us DNA, we give you sequence! Located in the Department of Biological Chemistry and partially supported by the UCI Cancer Center and the School of Biological Sciences, the DNA Core Facility is a research support unit which provides a comprehensive service of automated DNA sequencing and gene scan analysis for the entire university as well as external customers.
Our DNA sequencing is performed by experienced molecular biologists using both slab gel type (ABI Prism 377) and capillary (ABI Prism 3100) DNA sequencing methods. This website contains information about the people and instrumentation in our Core, the services we provide, the charge rates, the location of our Core, and guidelines on how to place an order and submit your DNA to our Core. This site is updated periodically, and we encourage you visit often to see our news column. Feel free to contact us for questions, suggestions and/or comments.
